Vivent Energy is an integrated biomass-to-fuels company developing thermochemical conversion facilities that simultaneously produce clean energy, permanent carbon removal, and high-value industrial gases.
We exist to prove that the energy transition and carbon removal are not competing objectives — and that agricultural waste is one of the most undervalued resources on the planet.
Vivent Energy was founded to address a paradox at the heart of global agriculture: billions of tonnes of crop residues, forestry waste, and organic material are burned or left to decompose each year — releasing their carbon back into the atmosphere — while the world simultaneously struggles to decarbonise its energy and transport sectors.
We developed an integrated thermochemical platform to capture that carbon value, convert the embedded energy into clean fuels, and deliver the CO₂ back to productive industrial use. The result is a facility that makes money three ways simultaneously — from fuels, from carbon credits, and from CO₂ sales.
Our values shape how we design facilities, choose partners, and account for every tonne of carbon we touch.
Every facility we design and operate is built to proven thermochemical engineering standards, with conservative yield assumptions and conservative carbon accounting. We do not overstate outputs to win projects.
The majority of the world's unused biomass is in the Global South. We design solutions that can be deployed in environments with limited grid access, variable feedstock quality, and remote locations.
All carbon removal credits are independently verified and registered on the Teravanet Carbon Removal Registry. No self-certification. Every credit represents a real, permanent, and additional tonne of CO₂ removed.
We design projects with local feedstock supply chains and revenue sharing for host communities. Vivent Energy facilities create local employment, reduce agricultural waste burning, and improve local air quality.
Unlike single-product bioenergy facilities, every Vivent Energy plant is designed as a multi-product hub. This means project economics are resilient to fluctuations in any single market — if carbon credit prices soften, fuel revenues hold the project; if gas prices fall, carbon and CO₂ revenues compensate.
We co-locate facilities with feedstock sources wherever possible, eliminating haulage costs and improving net carbon intensity. Modular containerised designs allow phased deployment from 2 tonnes per day pilot scale to full commercial scale.
Our team brings together thermochemical engineering, carbon market expertise, project finance, and on-the-ground operations experience across emerging markets.
